If you follow my work, these thoughts have been displayed before, but it never hurts to remind.
Having faith is difficult, but beautiful.
While I don't subscribe to any religion in context, my faith is though, I believe as devoted as any. I believe differently, in some ways, in others…I I find truths in a variety of religions and believe that most return to, just try to be decent to each other.
I also feel for those whom feel compelled by God to try and do good, and are criticized by others. I always believed in forces greater than are own, but was and still cant say, and will not for sure what the truth of God is. The question in itself is beautiful, and to say that someone is wrong about their faith, is disrespectful…and I have made that mistake, of which I am apologetic without reserve. Well maybe a little a reserve.
I believe the best homage to God is to care for each other, If we are created in Gods Likeness, and all are Gods children….than that is a great return of belief, faith and affirmation of powers greater than are own. When you put God and war together, or God and hate, I think you dishonor faith. But in truth, we are Human, and through years we have been often times persuaded that God condones war and hate.
I just don't buy it, it does not feel right, seem right, or make sense. Knowledge of war and the senseless deaths of so many associated with it, should have enlightened us. To think war ends war…seems futile, to think hate stops hate…makes no sense.
I am a realistic believer. I believe that we are on a precipice of awakening. As much as it hurts to say it, often times we had to have been there…to get here. We as individuals and societies are now faced with these big truths, that we are here, on a small planet, in a huge universe. That our similarities, hopes and dreams are far more uniting than we ever thought. We all just want to be happy, we all are different in our skin tones, beliefs and governments, but we all…just want to be happy.
I think about wars we involve ourselves in and its to try and have people be like us. Most of the time, if we had a better way, people would and will naturally follow. To often we want to raise ourselves to a higher status, which means that others should have less. I don't get it. We think the way we are happy should be the way others are happy…I question that thinking. We are diverse as a species, thankfully. Diversity adds color and context to the mundane.
Thats is where I find the beauty in faith, I have faith that we WILL get past the differences, slowly but surely. I feel a great energy emerging from the heats of all of us, exclaiming….we can. We are not sure how, we know it takes time, but we can.
We are tired of war, we don't want others being hungry, every person should have a decent chance at life, a chance to be well educated. We believe that happiness is a right, liberty and freedom of religions and society are attributes. And to care for others is in truth caring for ourselves. That right is might, and its voice never need be raised. That we might not know the exact right answer, but we acknowledge where we were wrong. That our differences, make us real. That we are human, that we will struggle, be mad, make mistakes…but that we just need to keep trying to build a better world for all, as it leaves no one behind.
that would be beautiful I think, I have faith we can also, because…I believe
In you.
